New CEO for Dairy Food Safety Victoria
Chairperson Dr Anne Astin today announced the appointment of Amanda Hill as the new CEO for Dairy Food Safety Victoria (DFSV).
Ms Hill has extensive experience with food safety and the food regulation system. She has also established strong national and international networks and is very well respected for her constructive approach to working with key partners, including industry and state regulators.
Ms Hill is currently Director, Food Safety and Response at Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ). She has been with FSANZ since 2000 and has contributed to the leadership of FSANZ through a variety of roles over that time.
"I am looking forward to greater engagement with the dairy industry. At DFSV we have the opportunity to strengthen food safety culture in partnership with this important sector" Ms Hill said.
In welcoming Ms Hill, Dr Anne Astin said “I am very pleased that Amanda Hill will be joining our team at DFSV. She brings strategic leadership and a strong stakeholder focus to the role and the Board looks forward to working closely with her.”
Dr Astin acknowledged the leadership of outgoing CEO Jennifer McDonald over the last four years.
Dr Astin also thanked Angela Brierley for her contribution to DFSV as interim CEO since early February 2018 and Agriculture Victoria for supporting this arrangement.
Ms Hill will commence her role in late April 2018.
