DFSV fees and charges for 2026-2027

Under the Dairy Act 2000, Dairy Food Safety Victoria (DFSV) is authorised to set and charge fees for the issue, transfer and renewal of dairy industry licences and the provision of services.

The DFSV Board determines fees and charges on an annual basis, in consultation with the Dairy Industry Consultative Forum and in consideration of the Victorian Treasurer's annual indexation rate.

From 1 July 2026 fees and charges will increase by 3 per cent for the 2026–2027 financial year for all Victorian dairy industry licensees. Notification of this fee increase will be published in the Victorian Government Gazette on 5 June 2026.

Given the current operating climate, for the 2026-2027 financial year, the Board has decided to implement only 1.5 per cent of the full 3 per cent increase. This means that for 2026-2027 fees and charges will increase by 1.5 per cent.

This rate will be reflected in all dairy industry licence fees and charges from 1 July 2026 which will be administered by Safe Food Victoria, following the abolition of DFSV under the Safe Food Victoria Act 2026.

The new rates will be updated on Safe Food Victoria’s website on 1 July 2026.
